Biomedical engineering (BME) is the application of engineering principles and design concepts to medicine and biology. This field seeks to "BRIDGE" the gap between engineering and medicine: It combines the design and problem solving skills of engineering with medical and biological sciences to advance healthcare treatment, including diagnosismonitoring, treatment and therapy.

BME in India is a branch that has immense potential. We have the best Engineering and Technicians and we have Best Physicians in the world. The most important hurdle is to bring them together and IORG has been working on this for some time now.

We have formed a New Wing of IORG named as 'BRIDGE' which is aimed at achieving the goal of providing a common platform for both BioEngineers and Medical Specialists for development of New insights into this field.

We have contributed significantly in some BME Projects which are listed below.

In a major achievement one of our project is now accepted in Journal of Computer-Aided Design & Applications and is also selected for presentation in CAD'13 International Conference at  Bergamo, Italy.

Below are listed some of our more Projects

1. CORRELATION BETWEEN BMD AND RADIOINTENSITY OF HUMAN BONES FOR STRENGTH EVALUTION.

2.A finite Element Investigation of Limb Alignment in Total Knee Replacement (TKR)

3.FEA analysis of Proximal femur for stress distribution

4. Finite Element analysis of  modified hip PROSTHESIS

5.ANALYSIS OF BONE GRAFT IN SLOT TECHNIQUE FOR TIBIAL DEFECTS IN TOTAL KNEE REPLACEMENT SURGERY - Virtual Analysis and Mathematical Modelling

6. Basic model for testing Nanomaterial based bearing surfaces against conventional cobalt chrome material for Joint Replacements
